1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions to KeywordIntent's premium tools (KGR Tool, Reddit Topic Hunter, and any future paid tools). It does not apply to the free keyword research tool, which has no associated charges.
All payments are processed by our Merchant of Record — Paddle.com or Lemon Squeezy. Refunds are issued through the same payment processor. We do not process payments or refunds directly; we initiate the refund request to the processor on your behalf.
2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with a paid subscription for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 calendar days of your initial purchase date (the "Refund Window"). This applies to your first subscription purchase only — it does not restart on renewal payments.
How to request a refund
- Email support@keywordintent.io with the subject line: "Refund Request — [your order email]".
- Include the email address used at checkout and the date of purchase.
- Optionally, include a brief reason. You are not required to give a reason within the 30-day window, but feedback helps us improve.
We will respond within 2 business days and initiate the refund through our payment processor. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
3. Fair Use Clause
Our 30-day guarantee is intended for subscribers who genuinely tried the tool and found it did not meet their needs. It is not intended as a mechanism to access premium tools for free and then claim a refund.
We reserve the right to decline a refund request within the 30-day window if there is clear evidence of heavy usage that indicates the tool provided substantial value — for example, if 50 or more API-backed searches were performed using paid-only features. In such cases, we may offer a pro-rated credit or partial refund instead of a full refund. We will explain our decision by email.
If you purchased our tools with the intent to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse them (in violation of our Terms of Service), no refund will be issued.
4. Renewals
The 30-day Refund Window applies only to your initial subscription. Renewal charges are not covered by the money-back guarantee.
If you wish to cancel and avoid a renewal charge, you must cancel your subscription at least 48 hours before the renewal date via the customer portal link provided in your subscription confirmation email, or by emailing us at support@keywordintent.io.
If you were charged for a renewal after cancelling (and can demonstrate the cancellation was submitted before the renewal date), we will issue a full refund regardless of timing.
5. Refunds for Billing Errors
Outside the 30-day window, we will issue a refund in the following circumstances regardless of how much time has passed:
- You were charged twice for the same subscription period (duplicate billing).
- You were charged after your subscription was cancelled.
- The paid tool you subscribed to was unavailable or non-functional for a materially extended period (more than 72 continuous hours) due to our fault, and you did not receive the service you paid for.
To report a billing error, email support@keywordintent.io with your order details. We will investigate and respond within 3 business days.
6. No Refunds in These Cases
We do not issue refunds for:
- Refund requests submitted after the 30-day Refund Window (unless covered by Section 5).
- Renewal payments where cancellation was not submitted before the renewal date.
- Dissatisfaction with keyword data accuracy, as all data is sourced from third-party APIs (Google Ads) and we cannot control or guarantee its accuracy.
- Accounts suspended or terminated due to Terms of Service violations.
- Purchases made with a license code or at a promotional/discounted rate (unless specified otherwise).
7. Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us at support@keywordintent.io before disputing a charge with your bank or payment provider. Most issues can be resolved quickly and directly, and we genuinely want to make things right.
Please note that our Merchant of Record (Paddle / Lemon Squeezy) independently reserves the right to issue refunds within 60 days of a transaction to prevent chargebacks. A chargeback filed without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in your account being permanently banned from our platform.
8. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence. In particular:
- EU / UK consumers: Under the Consumer Rights Directive (EU) and Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK), you may have a 30-day right of withdrawal from digital service contracts. By accessing paid features after purchase, you may waive this right (as permitted under these laws). Our 30-day money-back guarantee is designed to be equivalent to or broader than these statutory rights.
- Australian consumers: Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this policy.
